New look for Northern, delivered by MFG

Northern and MFG Construction has officially pulled the curtain back on the extensive refurbishment of Aintree House.

Delivered in partnership with MFG, the facility has undergone a comprehensive transformation designed to meet the demands of a 21st-century rail network.

Located in Leeds, Aintree House serves as a vital nerve centre for Northern’s regional operations and they needed an office that's designed and ready for the future.

Prior to the project, the office needed upgrading and that's where we stepped in to secure the project.

The refurbishment was commissioned to bridge the gap between legacy facilities and the high-spec requirements of modern rail management.

The job went far beyond cosmetic improvements, however. The scope of work included a complete internal fit-out, replacing dated layouts with collaborative, open-plan workspaces, new meeting rooms and kitchen area.

Key upgrades delivered by the construction team included:

Design and installation of a new LED office lighting system - improving visibility while reducing energy costs.
Interior Refurbishment: Professional internal decoration and deep carpet cleaning to revitalise the primary workspace.
Smart Space Planning: Converting an underutilised storeroom into a modern, private meeting room to support team collaboration.
