Six month anniversary for MFG FM

Six months on from launch, MFG Facilities Management is reflecting on a steady order book, nationwide delivery, and expansion into new sectors - all built on the reputation established by MFG's construction division.
MFG Facilities Management is marking six months of operation, and now is the right moment to reflect on what's been achieved.
In that time, the business has built a steady order book, delivered work across the full scale of the UK, and expanded its reach into new sectors including a growing presence in factories, education, and manufacturing environments.
The FM division was launched on the back of the reputation already established by MFG's construction business, and the team says that foundation has been central to winning trust with new clients quickly.
What started with a shrewd appointment of Matthew Pickles from a Tier 1 organisation, has grown considerably with more operational and back room staff.
Growth in the division was reflected in June with the appointment of Laura Stokes as Minor Works Coordinator, strengthening MFG's reactive maintenance and minor works capability.
Laura joined MFG with two years' experience at Mitie on the Home Office/Ministry of Justice contract, one of the most demanding FM environments in the sector, having previously worked in commercial heating and gas supply.
Mike Barker, Operations Director at MFG, said: "Six months in, and what stands out most is the consistency. We've taken the same standards and the same way of working that built our reputation in construction, and applied them to facilities management from day one. That's what's given clients the confidence to bring us in across new sectors, and it's why our order book keeps building steadily rather than in fits and starts."
Matthew Pickles, Business Development Manager for MFG FM, said: "What's pleased me most is the range of work we're now picking up. Six months ago we were finding our feet - now we're delivering across factories, education settings and manufacturing sites right across the UK. That spread tells you clients trust us with different environments and different challenges, not just the jobs we started out with. Bringing people like Laura into the team is exactly how we keep that momentum going, it's a strong platform to keep building from."
The team says the focus now is on maintaining that momentum, continuing to build relationships in existing sectors while exploring further opportunities for growth. If you have an facilities management job that you'd like us to consider, please get in touch with: matthewpickles@mfgfm.co.uk
