Tipton Academy gets the full MFG Treatment

MFG Construction has successfully completed a complex fire safety and refurbishment project at Tipton Academy in Birmingham.

The project included installing fire doors, conducting comprehensive safety inspections, and modernising the school's gymnasium with new wall cladding, painting, and skylight refurbishment.

To minimise disruption, construction crews worked between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM, and again in the evenings around the school's schedule.

"Tipton was the perfect project to launch the division. It was complex, time-sensitive and in a live school environment — exactly the kind of challenge we're built for," said Adam Langan, MFG Passive Fire Protection Manager.

"We worked out of hours, minimised disruption, and delivered safely, on time and compliant with current regulations."

The school praised the flexible approach. "Adam, Mark and everyone in the wider MFG team have been great to work with and they've delivered an impressive job," a Tipton High School spokesperson said.

"They've worked around us and flexed their hours to suit the school which is important for everyone here."

A key innovation was MFG's digital reporting platform, 'One Trace', which allowed the school to track progress in real-time and access compliance records instantly.
