Warrington Bank Quay Station refit wrapped up

MFG Construction has completed a reception refurbishment for Avanti West Coast at Warrington Bank Quay station, delivering a new customer-facing space without disrupting services.

The scope covered a new floor, a rebuilt reception counter, a redecorated feature wall and a full rebuild of the back-office desking behind it, all fitted into a tight working footprint. Work was carried out around live services, with the station open throughout.

Stephen Price, Projects Director at MFG Construction, said: “This was a small job by our standards, but it’s the first thing every passenger sees when they arrive. It got the same attention as everything else we run, and the site team delivered a clean handover. Credit to Dave Hughes, our supervisor for the work he and the team have done on this job.”

The Warrington job adds to a growing run of rail and station work for MFG, which has also delivered projects at Preston, Blackpool North, Penistone, Aintree House in Leeds, Dewsbury and Stockport, working alongside operators including Northern, TransPennine Express and Mitie. The company has now completed more than 250 projects and over 10 million sq ft of delivery since it was founded in 2006, with a 100 per cent delivery record.
