Project Overview

MFG Construction was appointed by Mitie, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, to deliver a package of refurbishment and external improvement works at Lancaster House.

Lancaster House provides high-quality accommodation and workspace for High Court judges during extended legal sittings away from their residence. The project required precision and a strong focus on quality to ensure the property offers both comfort and professionalism for its residents.

Delivery & Outcome

The works were managed by MFG's site team, maintaining clear communication with Mitie and Ministry of Justice representatives throughout. Every stage was carried out safely and to specification with zero defects raised at handover.

Project Highlights

The works at Lancaster House combined external improvements

Hard landscaping and internal refurbishment

A new patio area was excavated with hardcore installed and Indian stone paving completed.

Black powder-coated steel mesh fencing was supplied and installed with new posts set to specification

Timber repairs were completed to windows, and all external windows were prepared and decorated using Multi Elevated Working Platform (MEWP) access and tower scaffolding

All ceilings and woodwork were prepared and redecorated, with wallpaper removed and new finishes installed.

Result

The completed works have refurbished Lancaster House, creating a secure and high-quality environment for High Court judges to reside and prepare for court sessions.
